People and their vocabulary

Hi,
I'm back again and as a critic this time around. I find people, organizations all trying to enhance their vocabulary. I agree that the standard would improve but is it really necessary. Cant we put things across in simple english so that a layman would understand. Its nice to show your command over the language but at what cost if the other person is not able to easily understand what you are trying to convey. In the recent case of the big 2G spectrum, a saga going on here in India, I found the term exchequer which was frequently used. When I saw what it was on the dictionary found that its called treasury. A pretty simple word which has been ignored for a hifi wording. I dont understand the need for such words when there are other words which would be grasped easily.
Organizations on the other hand use hifi wordings in their collaterals just to showcase to the clients that their standard of english is very high and to lure them. But alas, little do the clients know that the people who prepare the collaterals are not the ones who are going to work for them. Our country despite having talented techy guys have on the other hand the factor which denies their progress, yes I meant the communication skill in English. All I can say is I find either people who are in the left extreme or in the right extreme. People dont follow the middle path. What a pity!!

World Economy

Hi there... been a long time...thought that this account would have been closed nevertheless its still open. Happy to see it. okay todays topic of interest is World Economy. Dear friends, the world we live in is tightly coupled together and is a circle of life which is dependent on every other thing other than itself. Did ya understand what I just meant now ? I meant each person is dependent on every other person for his/her survival. This leads to buying and selling and this leads to import / export in other words a trade taking place amongst nations that fuels the worlds economy. Simple theory, if demand drops supply would/should drop. This subtle yet strong bond between demand and supply is what drives world economy. People must be ready to purchase things, then only will there be some thing which people would want to create for generating money, organisation generates money then workers get salary and workers purchase things which fuel the growth of another and feeds another and so on and so forth...
Are you now getting the point that spending has to happen for economy to be stable at the same time ruthless spending is what needs to be curbed. People please do understand one thing, you survive because someone is paying you for a job which you did for another person who required it, and you in turn are paying someone else for a job which he/she did. So this is what keeps us alive and ticking...This is world economy in its simple terms...Sayonara...

Are you secure in today's world?

Hey Guyz,
Good Evening, As i'm typing it out, my thought process is going far ahead.
As a commoner, i'm just thinking about the word "Secure".
Man!! what a word, did we ever think of it?
What does the word "secure" mean to one is a ?
To secure oneself, one needs to protect.
What does one need to protect, to secure oneself ?
  • To protect oneself from terror attacks
  • To protect their jobs
  • To protect their near / dear ones
  • To protect their tangible / intangible properties
  • To protect their rights
  • To protect one's dignity
  • To protect one's sovereignity
  • To protect one's freedom
  • To protect nature
  • To protect their country
  • To protect the world
  • To protect the mankind...

Look at this, the list is going on & on and isn't stopping. Why , What and How are the questions which need to be

answered by people themselves, a society by itself, a nation by itself and the world by itself. When this list starts shrinking then you can to a certain extent say that you are "Secure" enough.

Until then i can surely say that I ain't secure.
